Diana Binney

Hiya! My name is Diana Binney and this will be my fourth year doing OAXC and my first year as a captain. I come from a family of runners and have been running my entire life, but still have never found a better place to do it than Oliver Ames’ Cross Country team. The values I’ve learned throughout the program have helped me far after the finish line, and the people I have met have become some of my closest friends. If you are considering doing cross country, my only advice is for you to take that leap and give it everything you have - in return, you’ll get something invaluable. If you have any questions or concerns do not hesitate to contact me at my school email ( I hope to see you over the summer or in the fall!

Julia Sarro

Hi. My name is Julia Sarro and I have been a part of OAXC for four years now. When I first joined cross country I knew nothing about the sport, but wanted to get involved at the high school. Looking back, it was one of the best decisions I have ever made. While most of my peers were anxious about their transition from middle school to high school, I arrived on the first day welcomed by all of my teammates and coaches I had met over the summer. I was not fully aware of it at the time, but I had joined a dedicated and supportive community where I would learn valuable lessons and make many close friends. For anyone considering joining the team, I wholeheartedly recommend taking a chance and going for it. If you have any questions or concerns feel free to reach out to my at I hope to see you all over the summer or fall!

Owen Nipoti

Hi my name is Owen Nipoti, I made the best decision of my life to start running cross-country freshman year when my best friend asked me to try it out with him. This year will be my Senior year and over the course of my running career I have made life long friends and have taken the values of cross-country to heart. I never thought that I would enjoy a sport that involved running, as I never ran that much, other then middle school track. But I came to love the sport and I believe that you should give it a try and maybe you'll come to love it as much as I do. I am always available if you have any questions at all, whether it be the signup process or the sport itself or if you are coming to this school for the first time and have some questions you can reach out to me at my email at or my phone number 774-273-5716. Hope to see you over the summer at some captains practices or at the beginning of the season in the fall.

Rory McLaughlin

I will be entering my fourth season with OAXC and my second season as a captain for the boys team. When I entered high school, I decided to join cross country as a way to stay in shape for baseball. I had never gone for a run. I didn’t truly understand the team aspect of the sport. Now, I am a full time runner and cross country is far and away my favorite sport. I truly can’t think of enough great things to say about this program, and we would love to have you as a part of our team. Please feel free to contact me with any questions.
