Each August, as the cross country season begins, the Oliver Ames Cross Country team takes an annual training trip to the island of Nantucket for a shared day of training, dining, traveling, and leisure. The trip is not mandatory, and any athlete who chooses not to attend will not be penalized, but we encourage you to join us for this long-standing traditional kickoff to the season.
In order to attend the trip, you must sign a waiver, which can be found on the Registration Page
Most of the costs associated with the trip are paid by the Oliver Ames Cross Country Boosters, but there is a small fee of $30.00 per student athlete. If your financial circumstances are such that this is difficult for you, or if you are on a free/reduced lunch program at OA, reach out to Coach Sousa (ksousa@easton.k12.ma.us) about having the fee waived.
The $30.00 fee can be paid by check, made out to the Oliver Ames Cross Country Boosters, and mailed to Kyle Sousa at 100 Lothrop Street, North Easton MA 02356
